Monster Mind
Here's a puzzle game I made where you can interact and solve puzzles with Pokemon. There's a lot of Pokemon to meet and different things to try, so take your time and have fun with it!
This game is fun if you explore it and find some of the surprises for yourself. But there are also some things you might not understand. Be cautious if you choose to collaborate with other players in the comments below; you might find spoilers which make your experience less enjoyable. Happy puzzling~
Your game should save after every level, but this save file could be lost if your temporary files get deleted. If you want to make sure you don't lose your progress, I have included a password feature. On the Options screen on the main menu, you can view your name and password. When starting a new game, you can tell Grovyle your name and password to continue your progress. All of the Pokemon you've met will remember you, and you will retain any items you have purchased.

After playing this game for a concerning amount of time, i feel the need to comment again and compliment your amazing writing argonville! almost every character is written like a real believable being with their own emotions and memories. The dialogue in this game feels so natural, and the topics tend to get deep and relatable. Eventually i even began to enjoy the NSFW scenes not just for the porn value, but for the learning process of understanding the pokemon's personality and what makes them happy. The porn was charming but i always came back just to read, and learn more about your characters. (also im impressively fast with this one specific type of logic puzzle now lol) ((Thank you so much for the amazing game argon <3))

only one person has ever added a new pokemon to the game, and i think it took them about 6 months. so you would probably be looking at 5 years worth of work but if you are passionate i'm sure you can do it!

my god the minigames are overcomplicated and annoying. i absolutely have zero goddamn clue how the staircase one works, its so confusing and poorly explained. i thought i understood but then my opponent lands on the star step, and i assume that just means he rolls again - but i guess not, im the one who rolls and he magically has a chest? what? its also never once explained that the total of the rolls goes to both players. i dunno, the sex scenes are fun and the actual puzzles and minigames just get in the way of them, which is the number one ironic problem for these games - any actual gameplay just feels like an annoying obstacle for the thing you actually want to do.
Let me know if you have suggestions for how to improve the minigame explanations! Most people understand it better than you did! I'm sorry.

Rhydon explains how you move 1-4 spaces depending on the dice, explains how you each choose two dice and set them however you want, and explains how it's all about predicting what your opponent does! And then gives you two practice turns and explains everything that happens. I don't know how to explain it better than that! Maybe it's just hard to explain.
Hello i think i have this idea asked already but i am stupid... anyway i thought a VR version is a nice idea just imagine the possibilities i mean we can let them f us or f them and we can then use two hands like sandslash want us i think he was it idk haven't played it long but what i mean is that if we have the possibility to go VR we can explore the building and interact with them more and don't just have a forced place where we have to look so this means we can do two things at ones like squeeze there balls while stroking them and we could kiss them then and touch them more and because i know abra is a clever girl she can do it and then we can get more lore 😁 please make it happen i am begging you

I am st upid like literally i can't code or anything like that and besides how do I know if I would do it right I mean there are new ways to please them and all so there would be new texts and all that so I can't really do it without going out and like making the personality of the pokémon wrong and besides I have an attention span of an fly

TBH I was more here for the puzzles than the horny.
and as for the puzzles, its either really up, or REALLY DOWN. one moment I think I am the one, the next I'm on the brink of a mental breakdown, and others I'm threatening to kill Abra.
This game is still fun as hell though!

well I mean Argon Vile has insinuated that the characters are canonically the sex that they start as if you pick that you don’t mind what sex they are,
and I haven’t gotten very far in the story myself,
but there’s definitely a deep story.
So far I'm loving the game, the puzzles are engaging even though they sometimes fly over my head. My only criticism would be to explain the 3 peg game a bit more clearly. Took me a while to actually understand what it entails, that and the dice rolling stair climbing game confuses me still even after 6 hours of playing.

i just cant fathom how its happening that ill get the first clue, make a change and then fail the first clue. i hate to say it but its super frustrating that im not comprehending it, im not an idiot i swear ^^
Solving the puzzles should feel like a step-by-step process, like climbing a ladder or putting together a jigsaw puzzle! Not like randomly trying to guess someone's password.
Try Grovyle's introductory tutorial again, they explain how to figure out simple steps like "Oh, there has to be a blue," "And there can't be any reds," "There's at least one green too." You never have to make a wrong guess! Think things through.
it might just be me but ive spent an hour trying to understand these puzzles, even with the guide...... its so confusing yet so simple. i think im making headway then i fail the first clue after getting it right... i dont understand... i actually like this game too

After going for both endings, I realized that when Rhydon asks you if you notice anything different about them, every answer is incorrect (in the sense rhydon is proud of doing one of the other answers)! That's such a silly little detail that doesn't have to be there if the goal was to simply attract perverts like Abra claims. This game is so full of charm in small moments like that. Great work!
Oh thank you! Yeah a lot of the questions the character throw at you don't really have any "right answer" but evoke a lot of silly responses. I'm glad you're having fun with it 😀

You can actually change characters genders with a genderbender tool that you can buy in Heracross shop. Or choose your preferences when making a new game file! I believe, Grovyle asks something like "And what sex do you think I would be?" at the very start of the game
Yes and no. Technically yes because you can genderbend the characters to all be male or all be female, and technically no because the gender bent versions of the characters are canonically just a camera filter and some of the characters are more than happy to repeatedly remind you of this point. Especially at the end of the game when one of the characters canonically being a girl becomes exceptionally relevant information.
Been several years since I played this back when it first was posted on e6, and it's still one of the best flash games out there. The name/password system, the different items, not having all characters unlocked from the start, the world-building, and although I wish all the characters would let you do everything, I think it's actually my favorite part of the game that the characters are all so unique. Not just in personality and dialogue, but even in the ways they play minigames, the way they all have preferences in acts, things they will and won't let you do...This game just feels like so full of life, and it makes it so you always feel like there's more to discover.
Also the fact that you still pop in to see the comments on your game, and even have released updates as recently as last year(even if they're mostly labor of love by another dev, or small updates like dialogue edits), even so many years after its initial release, is really heartwarming to see.

Wow you noticed all that stuff! I think most people are just annoyed they can't win the minigames against Abra or that Smeargle won't let you do anal. But it's kind of how people work in the real world too, isn't it?
I don't think it's very good to have games where the world contorts around the player to make them happy all the time, it feels empty to me. I think it's better if the characters feel "real" even if it means the player doesn't always get what they want

And it feels good when it is something nice, so thank you for saying something nice 🥰 Monster Mind will always be something special to me! It might be the best game I ever make. I'm not sure! I hope not. I'll keep trying to make more games! Making games is a lot of fun.
I had this on desktop for a bit when I posted that first comment, but I switched to mobile. Abra becomes more possible to beat at the scale game when you have a touchscreen heh.
I did see I believe an interview you did about MM where you talked about ideas you had for future games, but said you would have to make a new cast to avoid any potential copyright issues. Am looking forward to seeing what you come up with! It seems like you put a lot of time and effort into learning how to develop characters and tell an interesting story.
Thanks, yeah! I'd love to make another game with characters that you get to know. I really liked that aspect of Monster Mind but it's a tough balance to get right!
honestly you could do what InsomniacOvrlrd did and port your MM-verse characters’ personalities to an original setting!
when IO was DMCA’d by Nintendo, instead of deleting everything, they made their own setting called Passiontail Isle and retooled their established recurring cast there as fakemon.
Same personalities, same names, I believe, possibly even the same plots. But copyright-friendly.
That's a creative idea! I obviously couldn't keep their "names" in my case but definitely having characters with the same personalities would work

Downloaded this game expecting the average, run of the mill, do this task and get them naked game. But honestly this game was really good! The characters are all very unique and are full of personality. My personal favorite is the grovyle, she's such a good character and her dialogue resonates with me. The puzzles were also incredibly fun and quite challenging at times!
If you're looking for a fun puzzle game with good characters then I would 100% recommend this game. The puzzles makes the payoff so much more worth it. Also I love how the developer is in the comments. Hi there argonvile! Keep up the good work!

I am really... REALLY struggling with the dice throwing minigame where you have to climb the stairs. Can anyone give me any pointers on how it works? I've been replaying it over and over and over with Heracross and I think I'm in my seventh loss in a row by now. Is it just designed for the player to lose and just try to make as many points as possible along the way? Or is it just a massive skill issue of mine? If so, I'd love some tips, hints, anything!
Great game btw! The characters are all funny and loveable, the puzzles are fun and creative, the art and animations are amazing, and the attention to detail is incredible!! Feels like a steal to be able to play this for free! Great stuff :D
Heracross is very good at that game! When it's your turn, you want to aim for shortcuts and pick big numbers. When it's Heracross's turn, you want to block them from shortcuts and pick small numbers. But if you're too predictable, your opponent can take advantage, too.
Being good at the game involves sort of figuring out how each Pokemon plays, since they all have different strategies! Some of them are predictable, some of them are more cautious, and some of them specifically plan ahead to counter what you'll throw.
As a last resort, some people say if you have very fast reflexes, you can see the number they threw and throw a split second after them! But you have to be very quick.
How long do I have to play to get the secret room thing?
when you find a mystery coin, you can click the door behind heracross's shop and it will open up! you just have to play until you find a coin

oh wow! some of the pokemon don't get as horny as others, and there are items in the shop you can buy which help sometimes (like the incense)

I started playing because I complained about the lack of porn games with lesbian content (that is purely lesbian and not "for random dudes to enjoy the show") and a friend recommanded it to me

the comedy is peak, the characters are very loveable, the fact that they all react differently to different kind of stimulation is so cute (and accurate) and I was really not expecting a whole conversation on the asexual spectrum and how some people have a different sex drive, it feels like a really nice change compared to some games where characters feels like they are just soulless genitals (which isn't bad! but not what I'm personally interested in)
Anyway I wasn't expecting that much quality from a porn game, and seeing how so many people enjoyed it it conforts me in making my own porn stuff (I love adding lore and personalities to characters but that's not what "the common public" wants I guess, or maybe I'm just overthinking- grah)

I tried hard to make all the characters multi-dimensional so that even if they're not your favorite... there's some part of them where you think, "hey! that makes sense, I guess they're not so bad~"
The asexual and agender characters might seem like a weird fit for a porn game! But I thought it was important to show that just because a character doesn't express their love sexually doesn't mean their love doesn't exist. Everyone's brains are wired a little differently, and some people can experience sex without love, or love without sex. Maybe some people experience neither! But they still have feelings and and they're still wonderful 💜💜
Two of my favorite comments I got on the game were when one person commented, "Is there a bug with Smeargle? I think they might be broken because nothing seems to work on them" and then 30 minutes later they commented, "I'M SO SORRY Smeargle is not broken! We had another conversation I love them now, please do not change anything"
These comments are actually so sweet together, I remember at my first interaction with Smeargle I thought "oh dang I'm really bad at the game actually" which is.. also how I felt with an ex partner who had a similar-ish sex drive lmao (communication helped me not being too self-conscious about it ✨️)
And I agree!! we love our ace folks no matter where they are on the spectrum c: they are so valid and cool

The discord is somewhat active, but not all that busy! There are about 1,000 users but most of them only check in every once in awhile. the main channels probably have about 10 messages per day on average, but some days it is more like 1-2 messages and on others it is more like 20-30
